Barnacles was designed in collaboration with Australian artisanal lighting brand, Articolo Studios, to launch its debut Artist Series. Nicci Kavals, founder and Creative Director has always been drawn to Davies’ transformation of remnant materials into intricate barnacle-like clusters and conceptualised the Barnacles sconces as sculptural forms of light.  The luminaires’ robust, hand-finished metal casings are delicately layered with hand-pressed barnacles reminiscent of marine barnacles enveloping piers on the foreshore.

Crafted with careful attention to detail, Barnacles’ sconces are available in bronze with a choice of claret, ink, dark bronze or mid bronze ‘barnacles’ or brass with ‘mid bronze’ barnacles’, each with a unique sculptural array of applied barnacles and warm directional light.
